Affiliate Disclosure

Right now, nothing here earns a commission.

As of October 16, 2026, Shed Planner is in no affiliate or advertising program. No link on this site pays me anything. Retailer links exist because they are the source of a figure shown next to them, and for no other reason.

Why this page exists before there is anything to disclose

Affiliate income is a plausible way to fund this site later, and US Federal Trade Commission guidance expects the disclosure to be clear and close to the link rather than buried after the fact. Publishing the rules first means they get written while there is no revenue arguing with them.

What would change

  • This page would name each program, and the date it started, instead of the statement above.
  • Every page carrying a paid link would say so above the first one, in plain text you do not have to hunt for.
  • Paid links would be visually and structurally separate from source links.

What would not change

  • No recommendation the evidence does not support. A commission cannot buy a “best” label, a ranking, or a higher position.
  • No claimed hands-on experience that did not happen. This site compares published specifications and prices; it does not assemble or test sheds.
  • Price figures keep their source URL and check date, and keep their 45-day freshness window, whether or not a link pays.
  • Comparisons keep a published method, so you can see what was compared and what was left out.
  • No paid link inside the trust boundary on the about page: permits, setbacks, structural questions and site suitability stay referrals to the authority that decides them.

Advertising

There is no display advertising on this site today. If that changes, this page will say so, and ad placement will not be allowed to interrupt a calculator or a figure you are reading.

If a link looks like a paid placement and this page says there are none, that is a bug worth reporting — contact.
