Standard Shed Sizes: Footprints and Floor Areas

Standard shed sizes are usually described by nominal width and depth. Common comparison points are 8 × 10, 10 × 12, and 12 × 16 feet, which equal 80, 120, and 192 square feet. These are nominal labels, not a verified exterior footprint or usable interior space.

A footprint table does not choose a shed. Use the guide tied to the item or opening that limits your plan, or calculate from your own measured inventory.
